Hello, I'm Joanna.
I spent years as a mental health nurse, supporting people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. I'm also a mum of three, so I know the constant balancing act and how quietly overwhelm can creep in.
Today I combine that clinical experience with an MSc in Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology. Positive psychology is the science of what helps people flourish: strengths, resilience, self-compassion and meaning. I bring it to you in a way that is practical, warm and deeply human.
This course is everything I wish more women had been taught: what stress is really doing in your body, why it builds, and simple tools that genuinely help.

What changes when you understand your stress
You don't need to overhaul your life. Small, regular practices teach your nervous system that it's safe to settle.
| Where you are now | to | Where you're heading |
|---|---|---|
| Noticing stress only when you snap or hit a wall | → | Spotting your amber signs early and acting on them |
| Lying awake with a racing mind | → | A breathing practice and a wind-down that help you settle |
| Saying yes, then running on empty | → | Kind boundaries you can actually say out loud |
| Treating rest as something to earn | → | Recovery built into your week, without guilt |
| Telling yourself you should be coping better | → | Speaking to yourself the way you'd speak to a friend |

- feel overwhelmed, tired or stretched thin more often than not
- want to understand what's happening in your body and mind
- are looking for practical, evidence-based tools, not quick fixes
- are ready to build resilience in small, doable steps
It isn't the right fit if you…
- are in crisis or having thoughts of harming yourself. Please contact your GP, NHS 24 on 111 or Samaritans on 116 123

- want someone else to make the changes for you
Picture an ordinary day, a few weeks from now
Life is still full. The difference is how you meet it.
- Morning
You wake up and notice the to-do list starting to race. You take three slow sighs, choose your top three, and start the day on your terms.
- At work
A new request lands on a full week. Instead of an automatic yes, you hear yourself say, “I can do this part, but not all of it.”
- At home
You catch your amber signs before you snap, step outside for ten minutes, and come back calmer for the people you love.
- At night
Worries are on paper, not on repeat. You wind down, let your shoulders drop, and rest without feeling you had to earn it.
You'll still be busy. You'll just feel calmer, kinder to yourself and back in charge of your days.

Questions you might have
How much time do I need?
Each module is around 5 to 7 minutes of video, about 40 minutes in total. Most people watch one module a week and spend another 15 minutes on the workbook exercise. Go at whatever pace suits your life.
Is this therapy?
No. Although I'm a former mental health nurse, this is an educational coaching course, not therapy or medical treatment. If you're struggling to cope, your symptoms have lasted more than two weeks, or you have thoughts of harming yourself, please speak to your GP, call NHS 24 on 111 or Samaritans on 116 123.
Is the course evidence-based?
Yes. It draws on positive psychology, stress research and well-established approaches such as slow breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, cognitive tools and self-compassion. The ebook explains the research behind each idea, with full references.
What if I fall behind?
You can't fall behind. You have lifetime access, so you can pause, repeat a module or come back to the practices whenever you need a reset.
How do I access everything?
After enrolling you'll receive an email with access to the videos and downloadable ebook, workbook, practices and checklist. They work on phone, tablet and computer.
Can I ask Joanna a question?
Of course. Email joanna@joannanodeslifecoach.com and I'll get back to you. If you'd like more personal support, one-to-one coaching is also available.
